BOLSBOY International Limited is working with healthcare, technology and community organisations to explore practical digital solutions for improving continuity of care in Nigeria.

This page introduces a proposed collaboration focused on improving the visibility of community screening, referrals and follow-up through a locally adapted digital workflow.

Introducing ACCEPT SIMS™

ACCEPT SIMS™ is a synthetic-data cervical screening information management and navigation demonstrator developed by BloomShield CIC in the United Kingdom.

The demonstrator brings together programme-level screening indicators, participant registration and screening-pathway information. It is intended to inform future development of more connected referral, follow-up and care-navigation workflows.

A Nigerian-led Collaboration

BOLSBOY International Limited and BloomShield CIC are exploring a Nigerian-led collaboration around ACCEPT SIMS™ under the UNICEF Femtech Ventures 2026 opportunity.

The collaboration remains subject to applicant eligibility, partner confirmation, appropriate agreements and funding approval.

Synthetic data only

The demonstrator is not a live patient-care service, a validated diagnostic tool or a clinical decision-support system. The public demonstrator uses synthetic data and should not be used to make clinical decisions.

Our Areas of Collaboration

The organisations below are identified as proposed partners. Participation and responsibilities remain subject to confirmation and appropriate agreements.

BOLSBOY International Limited

Nigerian healthcare-sector partner contributing operational leadership, healthcare services experience, corporate governance and local implementation capabilities.

BloomShield CIC

United Kingdom-based healthcare innovation organisation and developer of ACCEPT SIMS™, contributing digital technology, clinical pathway expertise and implementation research.

Lifecrown Foundation

Nigerian nonprofit organisation with experience in community healthcare outreach, preventive health services, women’s empowerment and underserved-population engagement.

Optimal Cancer Care Foundation (OCCF)

Nigerian cancer prevention and community screening organisation contributing practical experience in cancer awareness, screening delivery, patient engagement and referral coordination.

Proposed Implementation and Validation

Subject to funding and the necessary clinical and regulatory approvals, the proposed programme would run for 12 months and work with community screening organisations in Nigeria.

Community Screening Intelligence

Supporting healthcare organisations to organise screening activities, participant information and programme-level reporting.

Referral and Follow-up Navigation

Exploring digital workflows that help providers understand what happens after screening, identify outstanding follow-up needs and support continuity of care.

Local Technology Adaptation

Working with Nigerian healthcare professionals and community organisations to develop solutions responsive to local service delivery conditions.

Implementation Research and Evaluation

Generating practical learning about digital usability, healthcare workflows, data quality and opportunities for wider adoption.

Proposed Screening Approach

The planning target is approximately 200 women per organisation. Visual inspection with acetic acid (VIA) is the proposed screening method, supported by trained personnel, quality assurance, appropriate referral pathways and follow-up.

ACCEPT SIMS™ would be adapted and evaluated for usability, workflow fit, data quality and implementation feasibility. These figures are planning targets, not confirmed enrolment or achieved outcomes.

The Problem We Are Solving Together

Across many community healthcare programmes, screening activities remain disconnected from subsequent care. Patient information may be recorded on paper or in isolated spreadsheets, referrals are difficult to track, and healthcare providers often have limited visibility of whether individuals complete recommended follow-up.

Our partnership seeks to bridge this gap by connecting community screening, participant records, referral pathways and follow-up information within a more coordinated digital framework.

Our shared ambition is to move beyond counting people screened towards understanding what happens next — and helping more women complete their journey from screening to appropriate care.

Technology and Sustainability

Connected Care Pathways

Our collaboration addresses a common healthcare challenge: screening activities are frequently documented without a reliable connection to subsequent referrals, follow-up and care outcomes.

Through ACCEPT SIMS™, we are exploring how structured digital records and pathway intelligence can help community healthcare organisations better understand and coordinate the patient journey.

Responsible Digital Innovation

Our approach combines local clinical experience, healthcare operations, technology development and research to support practical, sustainable digital-health solutions.

The existing ACCEPT SIMS™ demonstrator uses synthetic data and provides a foundation for future development, local adaptation and evaluation.

Our long-term ambition is to help healthcare organisations move beyond counting screening encounters towards understanding and improving continuity of care.
